Join Amanda Baker for a deep dive in how yoga, mental health, and healing are all inter-related. Stress resides in your body and healing or alleviating your stress response, negative beliefs, or thought patterns involves movement, present mindfulness, and a willingness to expand your tolerance to difficult circumstances. Learn about the impact of trauma, stress, depression, and anxiety on your body - with specific poses and interventions to reduce your stress and release built up emotions in a therapeutic space!
Expect guided breathwork, stretches, yoga postures and flow (asana), along with specific therapeutic techniques designed to support you in gaining an awareness of self and building comfort with discomfort before ending with a restorative relaxation.
Amanda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a 200hr. Registered Yoga Teacher. She has training experience in Trauma-Informed Yoga, Emotional Freedom Technique, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and Radiant Child Yoga.
