Melody Kleeman, founder of Aluma Yoga, is passionate about supporting others to heal, transform, and connect through her teaching of yoga, coaching programs, and hosting both local and international retreats. Her classes and programs take you on a reflective journey that allow for healing, self-discovery, and joy to surface. She encourages students to ask, reflect, create and respect their mind-body-soul through their practice and self-discovery. As a former ballet student, her sequencing is smart and integrated with a heavy influence of graceful lines and rhythmic movements.

After leaving her career in 2012 as a special education teacher to study yoga in Costa Rica, Melody became certified as an instructor at the 200 hour level and began teaching full-time. She has since earned her E-RYT 500 and has extensive experience with private and corporate instruction, teacher training, advanced instructor coaching, leading workshops and international yoga retreats. She lives in Cockeysville with her husband Brian, Bella the Boston, Angel the Pitbull and extended family.
